There are so many trees… Far less monumental ones! Why and when is a tree called monumental? What are they and where are they to be found? In this excursion we will visit some “great old people” to find answers to these (and other) questions, in the heart of Dardagna valley, a true gem of the Bolognese Apennines.

Because hikers love to eat well too! Discover the fascinating geological history of our Apennine through an excursion from Santa Maria lake to Brasimone lake, along the massive gorge carved by the river in thousands of years. Midway, a tasty lunch at the Podere Caselina agritourism.

The fashion and mistery of the wood at night: furtive sounds and curious eyes… Fear or curiosity? After a quick introduction at the Museo del Bosco, an easy excursion with an expert environmental tour guide, to discover the nocturnal dwellers of our woods. At the end of the trip a typical dinner at the Foresteria del Poranceto (reservation at +39 335 5344413).

A tour guided by the astronomy expert Matteo Benevelli to admire the falling stars and the starry vault: after a jeep travel, a short walk brings us on top of the ridge, where the light pollution doesn’t affect the sky. From the wood toward infinite… Sipping a good hot tea!
Participation fee: 25 € for adults, 15 € for children under 14 years (including lift and snack).
