The Lake Triathlon race is organised by the Società Emiliana di Triathlon, T3 ASD, and supported by the Toscana Atomica Triathlon society. The Triathlon race is run on an olympic span and features three disciplines, i.e. 1,5km swimming, 40km riding bike and 10km running.
The race starts at 1pm with the swimming fraction in the Suviana Lake, in the Suviana and Brasimone lakes Natural Park. The riding and running fractions come next. It is the first athletic race ever in the famous Suviana Lake, the largest lake in the Bolognese area and one of the largest in Emilia Romagna.
The race is sponsored by the Municipality of Castel di Casio.
