Room 22 [twenty – due] This band of the Bolognese Apennine was founded in November 2016 from bass player Matteo Brunini’s passion for live music. After a quick confront with to-be singer Julia Thomas (a child of art) and drum player Loris Occhionero, the trio starts and shapes their project in an old carpentry – used as a rehearsal studio. First three guitar players joined the band: Mucci Riccardo, Aria Filippo and Thomas Lancellotti. Only Thomas belongs to the current formation. Soon the quartet get on the quest for a keyboard player, Paolo Carboni, who accepted with ethusiasm. In August 2017 the now five band members were asked to perform at the Music Odyssey, an actual challenge given the stage size. At present, they have performed in the major live music venues in the Tuscan Emilian Apennine and cooperate as guests with the Comune di Alto Reno Terme for several events. For New Year 2020 they will introduce their first original record.
The Tonics are an unsuspected and funambulist Power trio formed by well-known characters from the Italian R’n’r and Rockabilly scene. Originally, the band was founded to accompany around the world the solo adventures of two polyhedric and wild players, which have often benefitted of their side-kicks – i.e. Eugenio “Flamin Gene” Pritelli (Rock and roll Kamikazes, Horrible Porno Stuntmen, Silver Combo) and Alle B Goode from Brescia (the Bonebreakers, Slick Steve and the gangster) – in their music raids. Wild, tribal rhythms are entrusted to double bass player Zimmy Martini (Lucky Strikes, Johnny Clash Project, Tropical swingers) and drummer Sandro “Vik Rocky Jr” Battistini (Rock and roll Kamikazes, Horrible Porno Stuntmen, Bavosa). These tonic boys ooze R’n’R in all shapes, from Fifties shades to Rockabilly, Blues, Garage and Soul – faithful to their original sound at all time, quaking squares and clubs… We now dare you to keep still!
DJ Madkid is one of most popular Italian DJs, an actual djing professional and undisputed champion in juggling – a mixing technique demanding accuracy, speed and deep music knowledge.
His command upon the console is unrivalled: the scrupulous melt of old and new and an unbelievable record collection make of Paolino – aka MadKid – a landmark for Italian “black” scene, namely the art of playing using the turntable. He can respond the most cynical collector as well as the most up-to-date dancehall enthusiastic. His renown mixtapes are true musts for fans of this genre.
